"Things do not change; we change." ~Henry David Thoreau
I recently decided to pack up and make another move. Those who know me well, know I do this every couple of years. When things get stale, I tend to bail. What can I say - stagnancy stifles my creativity. I waited out the timing like a school kid jumping rope, and then made the move. I packed up the Uhaul and headed out East again, this time with my sights on Denver.
I had been visiting Denver periodically throughout this last winter, deciding whether I wanted to try to move out here again. I had tried a few years ago in a desperate attempt to flee Oregon, but simply lacked the resources at the time to do so. This time I didn't feel like I needed to flee anywhere, I just simply felt like it was time for a change of scenery, and Denver was the first place that came to mind when I thought about leaving California. I like the "hustle!" mentality in Denver, too. It's fast-paced, and invigorating, unlike the mellow and laid-back mentality of living in the woods (which was greatly needed at that time in my life).
I've been house hunting for the last couple of weeks, but I'm picky about where I want to live so I haven't secured anything just yet. I am heading back to CA tomorrow to get my truck and my dog, then heading out to the Eugene Oregon for the DFO to compete in the flame-off, then heading to L.A. to dog sit for my step-dad for the first week of June. Immediately after that I'm heading back to Denver to get my hustle on!

Denver is supposed to be hopping. I hope you write a bit about the scene there. I'd like to "see" it through your eyes.
